Savanna Danver serves as the State Outreach and Communications Coordinator, a role she began in August 2022. She provides outreach, technical assistance, and education on effective outreach strategies while maintaining consistent communication with field staff. Her work focuses on developing and strengthening stakeholder relationships and increasing access to FSA programs and loan participation among farmers and ranchers. Savanna also serves as the state communications coordinator and public affairs specialist and is currently the Florida Beginning Farmer and Rancher Coordinator.
Born and raised in Lake County, Savanna is a sixth-generation Floridian. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and Communications from the University of Florida in 2011 before serving on active duty with the United States Coast Guard from 2011 to 2016. She has continued her service as a member of the United States Coast Guard Reserve since 2016. From 2016 to 2019, Savanna worked as a UF/IFAS Extension 4-H agent in Dual County. She earned a Master of Arts in Global Sustainability from the University of South Florida in 2019 and completed a Ph.D. in Agricultural Education, with a focus on Cooperative Extension, in 2022.
